Based on your learning from Unit 2, evaluate the skills you will need to be need to be successful in your chosen field. Identify those you think are the most significant and justify

I think there are lots of skills which I can put into groups, it is very important to know and to be able to justify them to be successful, for me which is digital art industry, especially I aim towards character design and animation.

-Resilience- it means  "an ability to recover from or adjust easily to misfortune or change" it is something that is possible to learn, and it is crucial to be resilient in the modern world and especially in an industry like this. Quickly changing environment of work, new tasks to do every day, new expectations to meet. And it's important to be able to adapt easily to them, for my own health too.

-Technical skills need for 3d software and knowledge of various 3d and 2d software – for me would be mostly Autodesk Maya, Blender, Zbrush, Photoshop, Krita. It's important not to stick to just one. You will never know what your new employer can use in his studio. Some big ones have their own ones or their own addons.

- Ability to learn fast and know what are your goals in learning - in this industry, you will never stop learning. New ways of doing certain things are constantly invented. New patches, addons, programs, techniques. There is so much stuff going on around and it is very hard to learn all of it. Besides you need have to be like a sponge of knowledge you need to know what to choose to learn.

-Ability to work efficiently- it is very important not to waste time because there is a need to be fast with projects, and cut off on everything you can to be more efficient in what you do. If you are, you will have more time for yourself, more time for learning, more time for the project, etc. A good example is reducing mouse clicks for shortcuts, which can result in saving a lot of time in the long run.

-Good “housekeeping”- keeping the virtual workspace clean and organized as well as work files – helps colleagues who work on the same file and with the overall performance. In my industry, it’s a trademark of the good artist and worker.

- The ability to work under pressure- There is usually a lot of deadlines, or one big deadline for a big project and you need to be ready for it. To do what is needed, but remember about myself and do not let it ruin me. Practice self-care and self-love, have still some time for myself, even in the hardest times, and it will end up looking better than when I would be destroying myself for it.

-Ability to work in a group- It's very rare that only one person works on a project alone. Usually, you need to work with a team, and good communication and negotiation skills are crucial for me to be part of a team and for a whole team to be "in one piece". We shouldn't compete with each other, we should cooperate to sustain a well-performing team.

Post 3: Based on your learning from Unit 3, discuss the merits or shortcomings of design thinking to your chosen areas of study

I study Computer animation which means that I concentrate the most on the movement of characters. But it is wrong to say that's the only field that animation is about.   I think that I should start from what design thinking is- it is the designer's work process. It's all about an idea before the realization, in literature, art, music, and business. In this post, I will discuss the merits and shortcomings of design thinking in computer animation.  One, single reference can ease the whole process a lot, unlike in other fields of CGI.  It is pretty much straightforward, you just simply adjust the pose of the character/ characters/ props. It is very rewarding when you see your character coming to life, starting to move. When you have an idea in your mind, you can record yourself moving and use it as a reference and if you have enough abilities, you can show your idea pretty well. Basically, everyone can do simple animations. Because people are the target audience basical...

What do you consider to be the biggest threat to human kind and why?

I think that overpopulation. There is no bigger threat for human kind than us- humans. According to Census.gov there are 7.8 billions of us right now on Earth. We’re growing, drowning our Planet from resources Everyday. Statistically we are taking resources of 1,5 planets now. And it won’t change for better. There’s only one scenario that after 2100 population will start to decline, but it is not certain. And then, there will be at least   10 billions of us, they predict.     We need to change something, otherwise we will face consequences that no human kind nor our Planet had to face ever before, such as:  1.      Unemployment will rise- fewer jobs left because everyone needs to work, if there’s too much people simply more of them will become unemployed. 2.      Costs of living will rise- More people will need to eat, live and work, in consequence there will be bigger demand for various essential commodities including f...
